TOM JOHNSTONE headlines a list of five potential returnees for Wakefield Trinity when York Knights come to town on Saturday.

The winger has been sidelined by a knee injury for the past two games but has been named in Daryl Powell’s 21-man squad.

There is also a place for back-rower Isaiah Vagana, who missed last Friday’s defeat at Wigan Warriors with a shoulder injury.

He is one of three boosts to the pack alongside Jazz Tevaga, who has served a suspension, and Jay Pitts, who has been out for two weeks with a ruptured bicep and could make his 450th career appearance.

The other returning face is Mason Lino, who hasn’t played since June because of a calf injury but may displace Jack Sinfield at halfback.

It isn’t all good news for Wakefield, however, with Oliver Pratt (hamstring), Matty Storton (knee) and Tray Lolesio unavailable after picking up injuries at Wigan.

New signing Emre Guler also drops out of the squad, as does Kian McGann, as Trinity seek to end a three-match losing run.

Mark Applegarth has far fewer changes to make as returns to his old stomping ground with York, who have made just one alteration to their 21-man squad.

Paul Vaughan is back after missing last Sunday’s hammering by Leeds Rhinos due to the head-injury protocols, and Justin Sangaré makes way.

York are looking for their first win at Wakefield since November 1984.
