Wane makes u-turn on O’Loughlin

Sean O’Loughlin is set to make a dramatic return in the Grand Final.

The Wigan and England captain was not named in Wigan’s 19-man squad to face Warrington at Old Trafford on Sunday, but head coach Shaun Wane has now confirmed that O’Loughlin has trained all week ahead of the Grand Final and will take part in the captain’s run this morning.

The Warriors chief went on to confirm that Wigan will give the 33-year-old every possible chance of making his return at Old Trafford, after missing the last two months through suspension and a calf injury.

Although Wane didn’t go as far as saying O’Loughlin would play, it is widely expected that O’Loughlin will feature.
