Shaun Wane highlighted a number of notable absences from his team as a factor for Wigan’s 32-16 defeat to Salford Red Devils.
Wigan were left 22-0 behind at the break, and although a late rally did make the scoreline more respectable, it was a disappointing day at the office for the Warriors.
However, Wane was quick to brush off the defeat.
“It is what it is – a practice game – they played well and we are missing some personnel,” he said.
“I’m still disappointed with certain aspects, but it is fixable and we will be good in two weeks.
“We didn’t throw enough at them but it was a bit personnel based as well.”
