Warrington Wolves are considering a move for England international Chris Heighington.
League Express reports that the Wolves are currently leading the race for the 33-year-old who is currently playing for NRL leaders Cronulla. It is understood that Heighington will not be offered a new deal after his contract expires at the end of this season.
Heighington has never played in Super League, but with a young family to consider, it is understood that he is open to a move should the deal be right.
His manager is thought to have held discussions with several Super League clubs recently, with interest high across the competition. Wakefield were linked with the forward earlier in the year.
