Warrington hand Brad Dwyer extension to contract

Warrington Wolves have signed hooker Brad Dwyer on a two-year deal for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

Dwyer, 22, joined Championship side London Broncos on a season-long loan from Warrington at the start of 2015. The Wolves recalled the hooker ahead of last week’s Ladbrokes Challenge Cup tie against Dewsbury and have since agreed terms with London to keep him at the club for the remainder of this season ahead of his new contract.

Dwyer is now expected to play a key role for Warrington for the remainder of this season following the departure of Micky Higham to Leigh Centurions on Wednesday.

The hooker first stepped out for the Wolves’ first team in March 2012. He made 22 appearances in his first spell at the club prior to joining London. A Squadbuilder-supported player, Dwyer is another fine example of home-grown talent progressing through the game and has gone on to make 12 appearances for the Broncos this season.
