Warrington Wolves booked their place in the Grand Final for the first time in three years following an 18-10 victory over St Helens.
Tony Smith’s side overcame a 10-8 half-time deficit thanks to tries through the outstanding Stefan Ratchford and Tom Lineham in the second-half.
Saints felt aggrieved when Lineham’s try was rewarded following claims that he had dropped the ball before their frustrations increased when Dom Peyroux wasn’t given a try when he was close to the line.
Saints had gone ahead thanks to a Jonny Lomax try and two Luke Walsh penalties, which cancelled out Kurt Gidley’s try in the first-half.
However, it was the Wolves who prevailed, who will now face the winner of the other semi-final between Wigan and Hull FC at Old Trafford on October 8th.
