Warrington Wolves want to send the town ‘crazy’

Warrington Wolves forward Ben Westwood believes a win in the Challenge Cup semi-final against Leeds Rhinos would send the town ‘crazy’, as they prepare to make a return to Wembley and the cup final once again.

Warrington have been almost the kings of the cup in recent years, winning three of the last five Challenge Cup finals. And Westwood – who was left out of the Wolves’ win against Catalan last time out – admits it is exciting for everyone involved with Warrington Wolves on all levels, and says they will do everything to send Warrington into bedlam come Saturday evening.

“It’s an exciting week for everybody, not just us players but everybody in the town,” Westwood told the media.

“It’s great to be involved, there’s a great prize at the end of it to walk out at Wembley and so we’ll be looking forward to it. I’m feeling pretty good at the minute, the rest has probably done me good. It’s not very often you come into the back end of the year with five games to play feeling quite fresh.”

“We’ve got a chance. We’ll do everything in our power to do things right and make good decisions so this town can go crazy.”
