Hull FC front-rower Liam Watts has signed a new three-year deal with the black and whites that will keep him at the club until the end of 2018.
The 24-year-old says the desire of the club to succeed in the future, and the marquee signings of Leon Pryce and Marc Sneyd, were more than enough to convince him to stay on.
“We have got something good growing here with a solid group of lads, and it is clear to see the intent we have with the signings of Leon and Marc so I feel we are moving in the right direction,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.
“I was obviously looking to tie down my future down and I’m really glad that it’s going to be here. I want to be a part of what is happening here over the next couple of years.
“We have a young squad here and I now look forward to helping the club achieve those targets.”
