Hull FC back-rower Joe Westerman claims he is enjoying his rugby more than at any other stage in his career.
The 24-year-old has been described by black and whites coach Lee Radford as his side’s best player so far in 2014 and Westerman says he is enjoying having increased responsibility.
“I’m really enjoying it,” he told the Hull FC website.
“I’m loving it playing with all of the lads and every game I just can’t wait for the week after. It wouldn’t be half as easy without the go-forward and the quick play-the-balls we’re getting from the rest of the forwards. It just makes it so much easier for me and the half backs and as a team I think there’s plenty more to come. We’ve still got to work hard in training and go from week to week.”
