Castleford Tigers prop Nathan Massey has bullishly claimed that his side boast the best pack in Super League, as they gear up for their huge clash against St Helens this Sunday.
After a heavy defeat to Wigan Warriors last time out, the Tigers will be looking to bounce back in style to cement their position in the top four. And Massey – who is returning from another injury lay-off – claims that although the Saints’ forwards are tough, the Tigers own the best pack in the league.
“I think a lot of teams this year have got big packs, but on our day we’ve got the best pack in the league. It’ll be good to test ourselves against them – they’ll be keen to bounce back too after a defeat against Catalan, so it will be a tough game,” Massey said.
“We had a tough day on Monday, but everyone is being really positive and targeting a good response from the Saints game coming up. We’ve trained really well, and everyone has been really focused on what we need to do. We were disappointed with the result against Wigan because we haven’t lost by more than eight points this year, so we’re looking to put that right.”
