KURT HAGGERTY has revealed that Bradford Bulls’ ‘huge injury list’ is the only thing that has shocked him so far as head coach of the Super League club.
Haggerty was appointed number one at Odsal following the club’s promotion to the top flight.
It is the 37-year-old’s first head coaching role in Super League, but, having learnt from the likes of Leeds Rhinos legend and current St Helens boss Paul Rowley, Haggerty has had no qualms about stepping up to the plate.
“There probably hasn’t been a lot of shocks so far,” he admitted.
“I always say that I was very fortunate to work with the likes of Brian McDermott and Paul Rowley, both of whom gave me a lot of responsibility and you’re in and around it all the time.
“I’ve been in Super League a long time so I kind of knew what it looked like (to be a head coach).
“There’s been no major shocks except a huge injury list which has affected and shocked every team at certain points during the season.
“Except that, it has been what I thought it would be.”
