We both started as props too so we both packed down against each other and even at 11 or 12 years old it was “on” from the first scrum. He haunted Warrington for years in the Saints-Warrington derbies. We would be up winning all game then they would creep back and Keiron would bob over in the last minute. He did it to us about three times; he was a phenomenal hooker.

I’d pick him as an all round hooker, taking everything into consideration. I think there are better runners that him and better defenders but he’s a great attacker, passer, can kick the ball, defend and his work off the ball is very good. When he is fit I think he is hard to beat.
