Wigan Warriors have started an internal investigation into an alleged incident between two of their players.
Reports surfaced over the weekend that an incident had taken place involving two Wigan players.
The Sunday People reported that a ‘gruesome brawl’ took place, which included a bottle being broken and blood appearing on the walls and floors of Wigan’s Xercise4less gym.
Before Shaun Wane’s press conference, the club’s marketing director Simon Collinson issued a brief statement. It said: “We are carrying out an internal investigation and I would ask that no questions are put to Shaun that might compromise or prejudice those investigations. As soon as the investigations are complete, we will then issue a full statement.”
