Wigan Warriors forward Eddy Pettybourne is desperate to end his injury exile this weekend when the Warriors face London, and admits he is absolutely delighted to be back out on the field.
Pettybourne hasn’t played since Good Friday’s victory over St Helens and, with his father over in the country visiting his son, he is desperate to get on the field and perform for his Dad before he flies home next week.
“It’s been frustating and I’m really excited to be back,” said Pettybourne.
“My dad’s over now so I want him to watch a game before he goes. He goes on Monday but I’m happy he’ll see me play before he goes. He loves it here – it’s a lot more relaxed than Sydney and he’s enjoying the life here.”
“I can’t wait to get back in the mix again and help out the boys. I wish I was playing in that game against Saints, those kind of games you have to play it tough.”
