Will Brough signs deal with Gold Coast Titans

WILL BROUGH will aim to make his mark Down Under after earning a deal at Gold Coast Titans.

The 20-year-old son of former Super League star Danny Brough struggled to establish himself at Leigh and ended the 2026 season with Championship side Goole.

That followed loan spells at Salford and Halifax for the Wakefield Academy product who played junior rugby for Huddersfield sides Newsome Panthers and Emley Moor.

Versatile back Brough spent five years in the Trinity system before joining Leigh ahead of the 2025 season.

He made just one first-team appearance, at centre in this year’s 42-6 defeat at Warrington in April.

With a two-game loan stint at Midlands (now Birmingham) Hurricanes included, Brough has made 13 senior appearances all told.

The Gold Coast move was revealed by his management company Nova Sports, who said via social media: “Bringing valuable Super League experience and a strong foundation from his time in the UK, William will be a great addition to the Titans programme.

“(It is) a significant commitment and sacrifice in relocating from to Australia, embracing a new environment and taking the next step in his development.

“An opportunity that reflects his ambition, determination and willingness to challenge himself.”

The Titans, coached by Josh Hannay, finished second-bottom of the NRL. They have also signed New Zealand Warriors halfback Luke Hanson and Cronulla Sharks outside back Mawene Hiroti.

The club have Queensland Cup feeder teams in Ipswich Jets and Tweed Heads Seagulls.

Brough’s younger brother Henry is in the Leeds development system.
