MARK APPLEGARTH hopes York Knights can build on their 20-14 victory at Castleford Tigers.
After a gruelling run of eleven defeats in twelve, York produced a determined display full of heart and fight as they continue to prove their worth in the club’s maiden season at Super League level.
“That was much-needed,” reflected head coach Mark Applegarth.
“That’s more like the York Knights that we want to be. We were back to our DNA there, showing up for each other, having energy in defence and taking our chances when they came.
“We showed loads of heart and spirit and let’s be honest, we got the monkey off our back from every loss.
“Hopefully people can relax a little now and we can start to build on that.”
