Its the pessimistic Latic fan in me!

I have a firm gut feeling that won't go away that if Whelan didn't sell up this year then that would be that, we barely stayed up last year and can't see it next based on the strength of this summers signings. Relegation will bring financial meltdown, last figures I saw,

I would like the latics to stay up, but i would love someone to shoot DW.

Looks like Lenagan is also weighing up buying a stadium for his football team, I wonder if it came off if it could offer Quins an alternative if things don't work out for them were they are and they can't find a suitable London venue.

That would be at Premiership prices though.

If the 'tics were relegated then everything changes, especially prices.

Would not surprise me if long term DW sold up.

No doubt Ian Lenagan would be interested in the ground although he can't own the 'tics whilst owning Oxford Utd.

Hyundi were geared up to take over, hence the signing a couple of years back of Cho, then "global downturn" took effect and they didn't go ahead!

I can't see anyone bothering outside of the Prem, its going to be dark days of grand proportions when relegation happens. If Duncan Sharpe was still with us he was Whelans natural successor, sadly he isn't, so the future doesn't look great given the lack of cash rich folk in Wigan likely to come forward as purchasers!
