no time for what ifs, it is what it is. we have to get our backsides into gear and get out there and do it. anything is possible

Rob for some reason Fev fans have been spouting ###### about Leigh for about a year now to anyone who will listen - breaking cap, all on drugs, set of dirty players, breaking cap again its like a stuck record that you have to repeat and repeat until you get some attention and I dont understand it

You were top dogs for a few years when it didnt really matter but got took in by Nahaboo, who you heralded as the Abramovich of RL initially, and found yourselves in a financial hole after his departure. At this point we were coming to the fore when it mattered, is this why you are behaving as you are?

Failure to come in the 4 will have serious financial implications for you imo, your gates are falling and £200k less from Sky would hurt deeply.

As for a victory? It was a poor game with a poor official that we declared on 56 mins to showboat for the remainder, we didn't respect possession all game. A short 10 and slow ptb do not suit our style, Hay knew that and has been the 3rd coach to use that tactic in recent weeks knowing a weak ref was appointed

didn't you have 3 men banned from one game last week, or have i just made that up. ayup, coffee's here.

I don't think we would of ran them as close with a full squad, them lads had nothing to lose and plenty to prove, they just went for it. I know from experience playing amateur sometimes when you go away with a scratch side and just go for it you end up doing well and they turn out to be your best days

sometimes, energy and enthusiasm can take you a long way. to say anyone else would have done better, does those lads a disservice

only a complete blind man, or a complete madman would ever think rugby league was a family sport

but David, they play a tape at every game telling us that rugby league is a family sport. they ask you not to swear etc.

it's good to reminisce Andrew, even the bad days.i believe this club is finely balanced now. we could go onwards and upwards, or, god forbid, we could sink down to the depths. we must give MC our full backing. he is the one to take us forward.

Heard a rumour Campbell is going at end of season. Hope so! Then club can move forward and a chairman will allow a coach to coach, and we won't be the laughing stock of the division, he has wasted so much money!

if he has wasted any money, it's his money. who's this new chairman that's gonna pump money in like mC. be careful what you wish for.

Think you're pretty much spot on.

yep, a number of times, 7 players stood in a bunch behind acting half.

Almost every good team needs an ex pivot (preferably half back) either as coach or as number 2. They are the blokes with the ideas. One who is from professional stock in terms of working in the upper sphere's (either as a player or a coach) of the game is the man also needed to take a team to the highest level.

Andy is still here and we should respect that but people have stated the lack of creativity.

The guy doing his apprenticeship under Brian Mcdermott would be in my thoughts, should a coaching position at Rovers come up. That's if he could be prised away from his current duties.

sorry Andrew, but that theory doesn't fit in with my experiences of Fev coaches.3 of the best were Peter Fox, Kieth Goulding and Laurie Gant. we won the league with Kieth Cotton but was he a good coach? Harold Moxon was a halfback and a good coach. i think the best coaches are the ones who aren't naturally talented and have had to work and think hard about the game. it would be interesting to see if there was a trend in successful coaches and the position they played.
