#3001333 can Jack Lee win on sunday

a win for York and the Hunslet fans won't be happy, a win for Hunslet leaves him open to allegations of not trying from York fans. is this fair on the lad.

Thing is,we let Oldham play at 100 mph. When we had the ball the ruck speed was so slow.Laying on in the tackle constantly. What makes you laugh is Georgy boy was so quick to blow his whistle when he did penalise for laying on.Rest of the time was a total joke.At the end of the day Oldham were worthy winners. No doubt about that.Nice to see Usian Bolt a couple of times in the Oldham ranks. That interception try was embarassing.Dummy half to 1st receiver and its interecepted and not offside.Yeah right.Physically impossible.Pat smith did it,last time out and got pinged for it.So its onto next week and the hawkies will be well up for it.Players need to take a look at thereselves after today and ask if they really want that grand final berth and promotion. On todays evidence, didnt look like it to me.

Oldham came with the intention of slowing down the play the ball, going 2 and 3 men into the tackle and turning the player onto his back and peeling off slowly, and they had the big lads to do it. it meant that their defence was set at every play, and they had great line speed all game. with ball in hand they were very good with lots of powerful running. what did disappoint me was the lack of leadership by the knights, someone needed to step up and take control, organise, cajole and try and change things. no one did.

Totally outplayed today in all departments by a very strong Oldham side, well done Oldham you deserved it completely form the first kick. Not sure why but knights didn't look fit today, they were blowing hard 15mins into the game and appeared to struggle to get back on side when we were returning kicks.

Still not over and remember last time Oldham beat us in a semi-final, small matter of beating Hawks next week who will be coming full of confidence after smashing Thunder for 50.

C'mon lads show us what you can do next week.

P.s. Ryan backhouse has to be in the 17 next week!

have to agree about Ryan, player of the week for champ 1 not long ago. was he injured?Oldham came with a gameplan to slow the ruck down and i thought the ref was very lenient on this, but their linespeed was great.. i have to say, i've never been a fan of forwards taking the ball standing still. also never been a fan of forwards at acting half. lastly halfbacks need to look at their decision making. all my opinion of course.

can't wait for George Stokes to get to "laying on" and "offside", in his rule book, then we may see a decent game from him.

need to be focused, previous results count for nothing. need to counter their big pack. get it wide early and a good kicking game. make them bring it away from their own tryline.imo of course

regardless of how the playoffs go, can i just say what a pleasure it's been watching York City Knights this season.it has meant me missing a lot of fev games, but the entertainment has been great. my hope now, is that both teams reach their grand finals

i don't like the way a lot of people are talking as if second place is ours after beating fax. i hope AH is keeping the squads mind on the job. 2 tricky fixtures coming up.

really pleased for Ryan Backhouse. strong runner, still got a bit of pace from his days in the centre. nice lad too. as a fev fan, i was sorry to see Colton Roache being released without being given a chance. fevs loss is yorks gain.
