  1. I have never liked the flaming ball and it actually puts me off buying merchandise, the Crest is great and will always be true Barrow to me. However I think a more modern badge is the way forward, maybe the club could get a few designs and let the fans vote for their favourite?
  2. Erm not yet no,surely 4 days rest is enough for them the big Jessie’s!
  3. Not sure why we should pander to York to be honest, play it on the Sunday. We have been stitched up more than that in the past!
  4. High praise indeed,I think Town will adjust as the games go by and will want to make themselves difficult to beat at home first and foremost. With some new additions I think you will go ok Barrows strongest side will give anybody in this league a game at home, travelling has been our Achilles heel but the Road Dogs pulled a few out of the hat last year! Listening to Cresta I think the pressure is off now about staying in the division which has always been the priority,I’m thinking he will let the halves/players have a bit more freedom and let them them express themselves. Jonty mentioned completing sets and that always helps but so does scoring tries Best of luck for the season Marra
  5. A professional performance by the Raiders,Town started off ok but were let down by the lad who got himself binned. Raiders took over after this and scored some pretty decent tries in bad conditions, nice to see some different kicks come into play which nearly came off.Looks like we’ll be playing with a bit of freedom this season which could be entertaining
  6. Fantastic gestures by the Barrow Eats and Blue n White Knights,Merry Christmas Lads
  7. Hopefully we get a Home draw in Challenge cup 3rd round if we win our 2nd round encounter of course
  8. Not sure what the feeling is about it in West Cumbria, but the Barrow clubs feel very let down. They were told that they could stay in the NW and last minute the carpet was pulled away and placed in the Cumbria league. The travelling although shorter in miles is around the same time.I also think that they were comfortably placed in a competitive sense in their respective NW leagues.
  9. Another great win for Cumbria they really are a force to be reckoned with when Cresta pulls them all together. Hoping the RFL and other organisations see this and some more fixtures come our way
  10. Pretty sure the club informed all that the playing budget would be decreased without any further investment this season. I know the Blue and White Knights have come to the rescue and are putting events on to try and help,it is up to us fans to support in anyway we can to help. Cresta also works his magic with loans and the fact that other clubs trust him with their players,so like you say I would think we will be looking at loan players to shore up the squad.
  11. Credit to Halifax they were well up for it and clinical. We were very disappointing, whoever picked King as MOM must have been on the p*** since midday, never seen him miss as many tackles!
  12. Tough assignment but sure lads will give their best shot. Up the Raiders
  13. Yeah I agree with this, great effort from the lads.
  14. Yeah tough one this and one that potentially we may have made some money on the streaming? I’m wondering what kind of team Cresta will be able to roll out after more injuries sustained last week. I still think we can beat anybody at home when we are at our best with the crowd behind us though, here’s hoping
  15. Convincing winners at CP this season 12-36 and will be tough to beat on their own patch. It is doable if we turn up with the right attitude though, let’s wait and see. Up the Raiders
