1. Stevens, did 58 minutes in 1st stretch, grafted, ran, tackled and came back to try again. 2 Walshaw, only a smidge less than Stevens. 3. Cooper, barrelled away and had 2 awful lost ball decisions against him. Akim put in a decent show first up as did Kirk. Oakes tried hard in the 2nd half.

Well if he was, the experiment didn't work. We brought in a former Super League (and not that far back) to do a half- back's job, not to play full-back. Yes, I'm ready for the bombs....we had so much possession, good position and really had no idea. What is it they say about do the same things over and over yet expecting a different result? Flair and 'out of the ordinary' just didn't exist. That said, they scored 3 tries off bounces which could have gone anywhere and sadly fell right into their laps. Strange that I felt that we weren't 18 points worse than them but didn't play smart enough not to be any nearer.

Agree KTF, far better conditions today.

Served 2 with Fev, a pre-season friendly can be counted plus the Cup game.

New season, new Forum vote, please vote INDIVIDUALLY for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, joint votes will not be counted, same as last season. My vote; 1 Ben White, was way out in front, leaves Fordy a headache for next week. 2 Butterworth, couple of dropped balls but was always in the link, showed pace and got 3 tries, always helps! 3 Several others put in a stints but between our 2 hookers, Leak gets it by a nose.

I'd say that the conditions favoured Huns more as we were unable to really get going with the free-flow rugby we'd like which did Huns a favour, on the couple of occasions we could ie Robbie's 1st and 3rd tries we showed some great work. I was impressed though by the Huns #6, the way he kicked both from the spot and from the hand, his spinning kicks were excellent, our players were getting to a position where they could reasonably expect the ball to be only to see it screw away from them. Ben White was our MoM by a street, great passing, always taking the tackle on and a 40/20 uphill! Challenging Fordy and BenR for next week. Leaky and Parsons did their work both at 9, then Leaky at 13 and Jonah finishing at centre, with Wes putting in some hard yards and good breaks. Did Evan pass his HIA and what about Felix's ankle?

The pitch will be very wet, not conducive to open flowing rugby, who ever can get the ball wide quickly will make good ground and field position. Lousy underfoot for goal kickers. Experience will tell eventually, 38-14.

Sadly we need a no8, Gledders has called it a day. After his family matters of early last year he now has greater business responsibilities. Good luck on both fronts Adam.

Ok, you win.

Trevor AND KTF, I appreciate we have to correspond with opponents in such circumstances and agree pricing, but as I said it doesn't help either side's financing. No need for being ar*ey....

Varying thoughts about the tenner in, great for fans but after match expenses not a great profit for Hunslet nor will it do much for our bank balance, bearing in mind that we missed a payday yesterday and Catalans to follow. NOT criticising just making an observation.

Just gone on our Bulldogs site, showing Batley v Hunslet ARL Saturday 18.00 and advertising tickets!

It appears, from information gleaned, that our fixtures v Featherstone have been replaced with Oldham.
