So TO finish the regular season in 8th place, above Catalans (on PD). Whilst I have my reservations about the quality of the competition this year, to emerge as "best of the rest" and in what would have been a play off spot in previous 14 team seasons is a major achievement. It is especially so given the concerns before the season about the lack of recruitment and of course the financial kneecapping the club has faced. On a £ for £ basis, I don't think there's many better investments the game could have made than the £600k into Toulouse this year - certainly gives food for thought around "return on investment"!
