Leigh Centurions star Ryan Brierley has given the biggest hint yet that a move to Salford Red Devils could be on the cards at some point in his career, as he revealed that he would love to turn out for the club one day.
Brierley has played a pivotal role in the Centurions’ unbeaten start to 2014, and is arguably the hottest prospect outside of Super League. That has seen him attract attention from a whole host of clubs in the top division, but he admits there is a burning ambition to represent the Red Devils one day, leading to speculation a move to the AJ Bell Stadium could be on the horizon further down the line.
“It is great Salford are linked with me and I have made it no secret I want to play for the club one day,” Brierley told the MEN. ”Even my dad Paul has been egging me on to sign for them.
“All the family are Salford season ticket holders. And if it came down to watching me for Leigh or watching Salford, dad would probably go watching Salford. He is that keen.
“So, it is a burning ambition for me to play for Salford and everyone knows that.”
