Castleford Tigers coach Daryl Powell believes his side owe their fans a big home performance, as the club prepare for another big crowd for the visit of Hull KR this weekend.
Although Powell’s side finished Easter with an impressive win against Warrington, they started it with defeat at home to Leeds in front of a sell-out Jungle crowd.
And with another big crowd expected for the visit of the high-flying Robins, Powell wants his team to deliver on their own turf.
“We’re looking at another big crowd against Hull KR and I think our fans can see how hard our team is working. We’ve got to reward them with a good performance,” he said.
“To fill the stadium last week showed that the fans are enjoying watching us play and when you are filling stadiums it’s awesome. Hopefully we can go close to that this week.
“If we could it would be a massive pat on the back for the club and a big tick for Rugby League at the moment the way it’s going.”
