York City Knights’ game against Rochdale this Sunday will be played at Featherstone – as the Knights continue to be without a home ground.
Hornets confirmed the news on their official website earlier today (Tuesday), releasing a short statement saying that the RFL have been forced to step in and book Featherstone’s ground for the match.
The game will be played at 3pm this Sunday.
The statement said: “York City Knights have no home venue following the closure of the Huntington Stadium and the failure to secure Bootham Crescent in the interim period.
“Both the RFL and Rochdale Hornets have tried to work with York City Knights to find a resolution but with no communication received from Knights officials the RFL have been forced to step in and book Featherstone Rovers for the fixture.
“At the time of writing no pricing information from York is available and we ask supporters contact the Knights with any queries. We will post any further information we receive at the earliest opportunity.”
