Warrington Wolves have confirmed that centre, Chris Bridge will leave the club at the end of the current season. Bridge is due to join fellow Super League side, Widnes next year, on a two-year deal.
The 31 year old centre made his Warrington debut in March 2005. He is currently in his eleventh season for the Wolves and celebrating his testimonial year.
“During his time with the Wolves, to date, he has made 228 appearances, including a Wembley win in the 2009 Challenge Cup final; he has crossed for 107 tries, kicked 311 goals and scored one drop goal.
On behalf of the club, Head of Coaching and Rugby, Tony Smith said, of Bridge’s departure: “I would like to thank Chris for giving great service to Warrington for over 10 years. He has played his part in some special moments at the club and will be remembered fondly for the skilful displays he has regularly delivered.
“Chris has had a frustrating last couple of years with injuries, but I am sure he will be doing his all to provide us with more special moments before he moves on next season. We wish him and his family the very best for their new venture in 2016.”
