Tyrone McCarthy’s Full Blood Project help get RL to Gambia

Former Warrington and Hull KR forward Tyrone McCarthy – who has returned to the NRL for the 2016 season – has earned a positive reputation within the game for his work away from the field, too.

McCarthy is heavily involved with the Full Blood Project which, according to their website, “was then born with the interest of using Rugby combined with education and personal development to realise the potential of young people in global communities suffering from poverty, conflict, disease and inequality.”

And McCarthy has revealed on Twitter that the FBP has helped take Rugby League on to a new country – The Gambia in Africa.

“Thank you to every one who helped make this vision a reality. The FIRST rugby league posts in The Gambia, Africa,” he tweeted.

Seems like Tyrone and the Full Blood Project is doing a great job of helping to spread The Greatest Game far and wide.
