Ben Barba has been named in St Helens’ squad to face Catalans.
The star fullback was a cause for concern when he was stretchered off during the club’s victory over Salford last week after a pulsating start to the season.
But scans showed he had sustained no further damage and has been named in the 19-man squad for Thursday.
In a further boost to Justin Holbrook, James Roby has earned a recall after missing the last three weeks with a rib cartilage injury.
Both players are rated as 50:50 to be fit for the clash. Roby is joined in the 19-man squad by Adam Swift, with the pair replacing the suspended Matty Lees and Matty Costello.
Meanwhile, the Dragons will be without David Mead for the match after he was ruled out with injury. Mikael Simon has also been ruled out, meaning Iain Thornley and Alrix Da Costa earn call-ups.
Saints squad: Lomax, Makinson, Morgan, Percival, Swift, Fages, Smith, Roby, Amor, Taia, Wilkin, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Douglas, Knowles, Thompson, Peyroux, Richardson, Grace, Barba.
Catalans squad: Broughton, Thornley, Wiliame, Langi, Casty, Moa, Anderson, Garcia, Bird, Bousquet, Duport, Baitieri, McIlorum, Tierney, Jullien, Maria, Da Costa, Gigot, Drinkwater.
