MARK APPLEGARTH insists there is no panic despite his York Knights slipping to their fourth Super League defeat in a row at Huddersfield.
York are struggling with injuries to their backline and couldn’t name an 18th man for the 34-14 loss.
“You’ve got to go through these times, you can’t just celebrate when the going’s good,” Applegarth said.
“You earn your mettle and your money when things aren’t going well, don’t you? There’s no panic on our part.
“But it’s really important that we don’t want to accept that as a standard at the same time.
“It’s a real simple formula to get out of (this) – you have to work hard. You have to keep showing up and make sure you go even harder to turn it around. It’s not rocket science.
“Ultimately as a coach it’s on me, I’m the head coach and the leader of this organisation. There’s a certain standard I expect and that’s what I’ll be getting after.”
