CATALANS DRAGONS have agreed a new two-year contract with prop Romain Navarrete.
The French international has played in 14 of Catalans’ 15 games this season, with all of those appearances as a starter.
He’s been a key figure since returning to the club ahead of the 2023 season from Toulouse Olympique, having spent almost five years in the UK with Wigan Warriors and London Broncos prior to that.
Including the debut 2016 campaign which led to his move to Wigan – who Catalans play at Stade Jean Bouin in Paris on Saturday – Navarrete has made 107 appearances for the club.
He’s racked up 186 Super League games in total, including as a starter in the Warriors’ 2018 Grand Final win over Warrington Wolves.
“I am very happy to continue this adventure with the Dragons,” said Navarrete, who has eleven France caps.
“I would like to thank the fans for their unwavering support week after week. I will give everything I have to help the team win trophies over the next two seasons.”
Catalans head to Paris two points outside the play-off positions having made a winning start to John Cartwright’s tenure as head coach last time out, winning at York Knights.
