MATT PEET was delighted with the way his Wigan Warriors side performed in Paris.
Seven days after winning the Challenge Cup, Wigan enjoyed a 40-16 triumph over Catalans Dragons at Stade Jean Bouin.
“I’m very proud of the performance and of the result as well,” said Peet.
“Coming into a game like this, we knew it would have a big-game feel about it and any sort of result would have been a positive one.
“But with the manner of the performance too, I am particularly pleased with the effort we invested at the start of the game.”
“I was involved when we went to the Nou Camp (to face Catalans in 2019) and it’s a big deal for Catalans, make no mistake.
“They would have been very determined to get it right today with a new coach (in John Cartwright).
“We spoke about it like it was another big game. I’m very pleased.”
