HULL FC interim coach Andy Last rued a number of faults after seeing his team slide to a seventh defeat in a row.
Bottom club Huddersfield Giants came from behind to earn a 22-16 win and close the gap to 13th-placed Hull to just two points.
“In the heat of the game, teams are rolling us over too easily,” said Last.
“There’s a lack of composure. That’s probably the scars of being in close games over the last four or five weeks and not being able to get it done.
“And there’s a lack of confidence. Some decision making is proving really costly.”
Hull were without prop Herman Ese’ese at Huddersfield, with Last clarifying that was due to illness.
“He contracted viral tonsillitis so he was unavailable to play,” said the coach.
“He’s on the meds, he saw the doc on Tuesday, and we’ll see how he is over the weekend.”
