EXPERIENCED NRL forward Josh Kerr is set for a move to Hull FC.
That’s according to Australia’s Daily Telegraph, after Kerr was released from the last year of his contract at St George Illawarra Dragons.
Kerr re-joined the Dragons this year after a two-and-a-half year spell with the Dolphins, playing 19 matches for the club in 2026.
Prior to that, the 30-year-old made 48 appearances for the Dolphins as well as 68 for the Dragons in his first stint at the club.
Now, though, he will be joining Daly Cherry-Evans, Isaac Liu, Jordan Swann, Josh Coric and Junior Pauga as Hull FC’s new overseas signings.
That does, however, mean that the Black and Whites need to shift on some of their overseas quota given they would have twelve on their books.
Sam Lisone was suspended pending an internal investigation in September, while Aidan Sezer has been offered to other clubs.
New head coach Steve McNamara will take charge of FC for 2027 onwards following the departure of John Cartwright in April.
St George chief executive Tim Watsford paid tribute to Kerr upon his exit, saying: “Josh approached the club seeking an opportunity to secure a longer-term deal elsewhere, and we agreed to this request.
“Josh has been a terrific clubman and a highly respected teammate throughout his two spells at the Dragons.
“We wish Josh and his family all the very best for the next chapter.”
