CONNOR BARLEY is determined to make the most of his second shot at Super League with Hull FC.
The Hull KR product has signed a one-year contract with the Black and Whites after starring in the Championship with Goole Vikings.
He scored 18 tries in 23 appearances under Scott Taylor, who has left his role as Goole head coach to join the Hull staff next season.
After coming through the Robins’ system to make four Super League appearances, Barley had a brief spell with Featherstone Rovers.
Now 22, the winger or centre wants to show his worth at the top level.
“Looking back, I took being in a full-time environment for granted the first time around to be honest,” said Barley.
“So having that year away from a full-time environment really made me realise how much I do want it.”
Barley joins Bailey Hodgson, Daly Cherry-Evans, Isaac Liu, Alrix Da Costa, Jordan Swan, Joshua Coric and Junior Pauga as new signings for incoming coach Steve McNamara.
Hull chief executive Richie Myler said: “We’re pleased to make Connor our eighth addition for 2027 – he offers us size, power, and importantly depth in our outside backs.
“Connor is a local lad who knows what it means to represent a club from this city. His try-scoring record this season is impressive, and we’re excited to see him make the step back up to Super League after an important year of development.”
