SHEFFIELD EAGLES have made a signing from rugby union as they bolster their backroom set-up in a bid to maximise opportunities created by their mid-season move to the MEPS International Home of Football Stadium in Dronfield.
Business development and sales specialist Tracey Owen has joined the club’s commercial team along with Paul Hibbert after she had a three-year spell at Doncaster Knights, of the 15-a-side code’s second-tier Championship Rugby.
Hibbert is a co-founder and director of the Eagles’ Sheffield-based backers Evogo Asset Finance.
He will take on a new role supporting the co-ordination and development of the Eagles’ commercial activity.
Eagles operations director Mark Hannigan said: “Paul and Tracey each bring a wealth of experience across the commercial and business sectors, and we’re thrilled to have them join the club.
“Our move has opened a wealth of exciting new commercial opportunities, both at the stadium and within the wider local community. Both Paul and Tracey will be instrumental in helping the club maximise them.
