Clément Martin commits future to Catalans Dragons

CATALANS DRAGONS have tied down young outside back Clément Martin on a new deal running until the end of the 2029 campaign.

The 21-year-old winger or centre had a year left to run on his contract after penning an initial extension last October, but has now committed his long-term future to the Dragons.

He joins a crop of talented French youngsters including Léo Darrélatour and Guillermo Aispuro-Bichet at the club, who have recruited the likes of Jesse Arthars, Tyson Gamble, Luciano Leilua, Joe Burgess and Amir Bourouh as John Cartwright puts his stamp on their squad.

Martin joined Catalans in 2024 from Lézignan, where he came through the ranks and established himself as one of the hottest young prospects in the Elite 1 competition.

A call-up to the France Under 19 squad followed, and after making four Super League appearances in 2025, which included a try against Huddersfield, he repaid Laurent Frayssinous’ faith in him by scoring in France’s 74-8 World Cup qualifier victory against Ukraine.

“I’m very happy and proud to be extending my time with the club,” enthused Martin, who featured in six of Catalans’ last nine Super League fixtures.

“It’s a great feeling to continue wearing this jersey and to keep developing as a player at this club.

“I’d like to thank the directors and coaching staff for their trust. I still have a lot of desire and ambition, and I can’t wait to keep giving my best on the field.”
