CASTLEFORD TIGERS are eyeing up Lebanon international Tony Sukkar, Total Rugby League understands.
Sukkar, who is currently on World Cup duty with the Cedars, plies his trade for Wests Tigers in the NRL and has made 25 appearances over the course of three seasons.
The second-rower has been with Wests his entire career, with 33 appearances also under his belt in the reserve-grade competition.
Just 22, Sukkar is thought to be a direct replacement for Catalans Dragons-bound Alex Mellor, with Castleford currently short of options in the back-row following the exit of Joe Stimson also.
If Sukkar does join the Tigers, he will be the latest in a recruitment drive that has seen the likes of Mat Feagai, Tyrell Sloan, Damien Cook, Robbie Mulhern and Ben McNamara move to the OneBore Stadium, where Paul Rowley is taking over as coach.
