WARRINGTON WOLVES have triggered the extension clauses in James Harrison’s and Luke Thomas’ contracts.
The forwards will remain part of Sam Burgess’ squad in 2027, with Harrison’s contract extended by a further year and Thomas’ deal now running until the end of the 2028 season.
Harrison’s extension will take him into a sixth season with Warrington, whom he joined ahead of the 2022 Super League season from Featherstone Rovers and has since gone on to register 18 tries in 107 appearances.
Meanwhile, academy graduate Thomas featured 17 times for the Wolves in a breakthrough 2026 season that was cut short by an ACL injury suffered in August’s win at Hull FC.
Since making his debut in 2022, the Welsh international has made 32 appearances for the club, and also spent time on loan at Rochdale Hornets, Swinton Lions, Batley Bulldogs, Widnes Vikings and Oldham.
The news of the two contract extensions follows that of head coach Sam Burgess extending his stay at the Halliwell Jones for another two seasons.
