TOMORROW’S (Saturday 1 August 2026) National League Premier Division match between York Acorn and Wath Brow Hornets is off.
The game, which had previously failed to go ahead towards the end of June, has been postponed because the pitch at Thanet Road is too hard for action to take place.
Acorn posted, on Facebook: “Unfortunately, tomorrow’s National Premier League fixture against Wath Brow Hornets has been postponed.
“Following an inspection, the pitch has been deemed unplayable.
“We know this will be disappointing for everyone after looking forward to our first home game since mid-June, but player safety has to come first.
“A new date will be announced in due course.
“Thank you to TMG Electric for sponsoring the fixture, and thank you to everyone who was planning to support the lads.”
There are now no fixtures scheduled for tomorrow in either the National Premier Division, or in Division One.
