SAM BURGESS has reiterated that he is set to stay on as Warrington Wolves head coach next season.
In an interview with BBC Radio Merseyside, Burgess confirmed that he and his partner are expecting a third child.
He said it will be born in the UK because the former England captain is expecting to remain at the Warrington helm.
“We’ve loved raising our family in the north of England. My son was born here and our third child is going to be born here as well,” Burgess said.
“I think out of all my brothers, they’re the only two of our children that are born where we were born, so that’s quite nice.
“It means I’m staying as well, doesn’t it? I’ve just basically told you that, haven’t I?
“I told you six weeks ago, but I’ve just not signed a contract yet. Well, I’m not going to go back on my word that I agreed with Simon (Moran – Warrington owner).”
Burgess has been in charge for three years, signing an initial two-year deal and then extending for another season when he most recently put pen to paper in July 2024.
