Albert Kelly confirms he’s staying at Hull KR in 2017

Hull KR half-back Albert Kelly has given the Robins a huge boost by declaring that he’s going nowhere in 2017.

Almost ever since arriving at the club at the beginning of last year, Kelly has been linked with a return to the NRL, with a number of sides believed to be interested in the half-back.

But Kelly wrote on his Twitter page that he’s decided to see out the final year of his three-year deal with the club.

He wrote: “I’m excited to say that I’ll be staying on with the Robins next year to see out the third year of my contract.

“Was great to hear from my management team that I had interest back in the NRL, but my family and I are really enjoying our team here in the UK and I’m especially loving my time with KR.

“Not sure what’s in store after that, but I’m excited for the journey ahead.”
