HULL FC interim coach Andy Last pulled no punches after a frustrating night for his club.
The Black and Whites came from 12-0 down to lead Castleford Tigers, only for Liam Hood’s late try to win it 18-14 for the visitors.
“I’m disappointed with the performance and the result. We spoke all week about the dangers of the game and about getting a consistent performance but our inconsistencies were there for everyone to see again,” he said.
“We just didn’t look in sync tonight. We didn’t get on the front foot, we got marched down the field and when we had good field position the connection wasn’t there.”
Last was admittedly bewildered by some moments in the game, which was marred by tech issues at the ground which resulted in no game clock or scoreboard for the full 80 minutes.
“It was a very chaotic game. It was disappointed with some of the decisions that went against us and there were too many for my liking,” he said.
“(The captain’s challenges) no one knows what’s going on. That includes me and the fans – it all made for a pretty horrible watch.”
