Warrington Wolves forward Ben Currie has been given a two-match ban for making deliberate physical contact with a match official.
The second rower was seen pushing referee Richard Silverwood in the back during the Wolves’ 34-24 Ladbrokes Challenge Cup quarter-final win over Leigh Centurions on Saturday.
Currie, who has missed only one game all season, was cited by the Rugby Football League’s match review panel and submitted an early-guilty plea to the grade C charge, which rules him out of Warrington’s home game against Wigan Warriors on Thursday.
