Bracek signs permanent deal with Swinton

Andy Bracek has signed a permanent deal with Swinton for the rest of 2016.

TotalRL confirmed yesterday that the utility forward would stay at the Lions after the mutual termination of his contract at Halifax. Bracek made 87 appearances for Fax in just over three years, but found his game time limited this year and joined Swinton on loan.

Having left Richard Marshall’s side, the former Barrow forward has penned a permanent deal with the Lions.

“Andy has done very well since joining us,” said Lions head coach John Duffy. “But once he’s fully settled in and firing on all cylinders I’m convinced he can become an even more important addition to our forward strength. Most importantly Andy loves it at Swinton and was really keen to sign for us.”

Bracek added: “I’m really pleased to be moving over to Swinton. It’s a club with a great heritage, but also a club with plenty of ambition so it ticks all the boxes. There’s loads of potential here and I’m looking to have a big end to the season.”
