BRADFORD BULLS coach Brian Noble is expecting big things from Emmanuel Waine.
The powerhouse Papua New Guinea forward is aiming to seal a pack place against his old club London Broncos in the league opener at Bartercard Odsal on Sunday.
Waine, 28, made nine appearances for the Broncos in Super League last season after helping Mike Eccles’ side win promotion in 2023, coming off the bench in all three of their play-off games against Sheffield, Featherstone and Toulouse.
Noble is out to lead Bradford to the Championship Grand Final this year and is pleased to have former PNG Hunters player Waine on board on a two-year deal.
“We saw his power and skill with London and it’s why he’s here with us now,” said the coach.
“Emmanuel’s exactly what it says on the tin. He runs hard and he belts people when they run at him.
“We’ve got to manage him properly, and make sure he’s doing that at the right times.”
Bradford have added other forwards in utility James Donaldson and hooker Mason Corbett from Leeds, prop Ronan Michael from York and second rowers Matty Gee from Bradford and Bayley Liu from Sheffield.
Kiwi Liu played under Noble’s assistant Lee Greenwood at Dewsbury.
