Halifax and Dewsbury are leading the race to sign young Leeds player Tommy Brierley.
The 20-year-old is set to leave the Rhinos Academy at the end of the year, which has sparked interest from a number of Championship clubs.
Brierley, who can play either centre or fullback, has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Super League giants, but has been a prominent figure in their Academy setup.
Fax are thought to be on the lookout for a number of young stars, with League Express linking them with a St Helens youngster this week.
Meanwhile, Dewsbury are on the lookout for a centre to replace the outgoing Shane Grady, who is set to join Fax ahead of the new season.
