Huddersfield Giants captain Danny Brough should be the captain of England – that’s the view of Giants owner Ken Davy.
Brough has once again led the way for the Giants in 2015, and they still stand a chance of finishing top of Super League if they can beat Leeds on Friday and Wigan slip up against Castleford.
And Davy believes that there’s no doubt Brough is the best captain in Super League, and therefore he should be captain of his country by definition.
“At the heart of the way we’re playing is Danny Brough, who is once again leading us by example,” he told the Huddersfield Examiner.
“We’re lucky at the Giants to be able to watch him playing on a weekly basis, and that’s why we all believe he should be the captain of England. We all think he’s the best captain in Super League.
“He’s an inspiration, both on attack and defence, and we’ve lost count of the number of times he comes up with the magic play when they really matter.”
