Andy Lynch and Gareth Ellis are set for spells on the sidelines after being charged by the RFL.
Lynch has been charged with Grade A Dangerous Contact during Castleford’s shock defeat to Hull KR. The incident took place in the second-half during an incident between Lynch and Rovers forward James Donaldson. Lynch is set to miss one game. The experienced forward has been in fine form at Cas this season, and his presence would be missed with Cas only just welcoming back fellow forward Junior Moors.
Meanwhile, Airlie Birds captain Ellis has been charged with Grade B strikes with the arm/shoulder for a tackle on Mickael Simon in his side’s victory over his former club Wakefield. He is likely to serve a 1-2 match suspension as a result.
Ellis has also played well this year in an impressive back-row alongside the likes of Mark Minichiello and Sika Manu.
