Castleford Tigers prop not giving up on Wembley

Craig Huby is not giving up on his Wembley dream yet, after telling local media that his horrific injury suffered less than two weeks ago is on the mend.

The Castleford Tigers prop dislocated his elbow during the semi-final victory against Widnes Vikings and, with the race on for a spot in Daryl Powell’s 19-man squad – which is named on Thursday – Huby knows time isn’t on his side.

“It’s not too bad, it’s improving but we’ll see,” he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“I saw the specialist on Thursday and he had a look, I had another x-ray to see just what happened and now, obviously, it’s up to us, so we’ll just see how it is.

“I need to get picked – if available – and then it’s down to if the pain’s right, if there’s no pain there.”
