Catalans Dragons sign Brisbane Broncos’ Jesse Arthars

CATALANS DRAGONS have signed Brisbane Broncos outside back Jesse Arthars on a two-year deal.

The 27-year-old New Zealander has scored 43 tries in 107 NRL appearances and has also earned four caps for the Māori All Stars.

Upon signing for the Dragons, Arthars said: “I’m super excited to be joining the Catalans Dragons for the next couple of seasons.

“I’m looking forward to representing the club, the fans, embracing the culture and exploring the south of France.”

Catalans boss John Cartwright said: “I have worked with Jesse at the Broncos.

“He’s a class player on and off the field. He is a good character and a hard worker in the peak of his career. It’s a major statement signing by the club.”

Arthars was born in Auckland before he moved to the Gold Coast with his family at age 11.

A promising outside back, Arthars topped the points tally in the NRL’s Under-20s competition and made his first-grade debut with the Titans in 2019.

Arthars joined the Broncos the following year and has since become a key player in the Brisbane squad, playing 74 games and lifting the NRL Grand Final trophy in 2025.
